THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HELLENIC SOCIETY OF HEMATOLOGY FOUNDATION

In January 2003, the establishment of the Hellenic Society of Hematology Foundation was approved, realizing the values and visions of the members of the Hellenic Society of Hematology.

The primary goal of the Foundation is to support the objectives of the Hellenic Society of Hematology, which we all endorse. Additionally, it seeks to better inform and assist patients with hematological disorders, strength research and work of young hematologists, and foster cooperation with education centers in the Balkans and other countries.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FOUNDATION

  1. Strengthening of the mission of the Hellenic Society of Hematology.
  2. Promoting the activities of the Hellenic Society of Hematology and connecting it with society.
  3. Adopting, producing and conducting basic and primarily applied research in hematology.
  4. Enhancing collaboration with society and businesses that support hematology.
  5. Cooperating with universities, institutions, research centers, and hematology associations in the Balkan and other countries.
  6. Providing distance education, training and specialization for doctors in hematology.
  7. Studying the economic, social and psychological impact on individuals suffering from hematological disorders.
  8. Offering financial support to undergraduate, postgraduate students, interns and specialists engaged in or excelling in hematology.
  9. Establishing and operating educational centers in Greece and abroad for distance learning, training and research in hematology.
  10. Making the Foundation’s research findings available to productive and social groups, organizations and businesses located in Greece and abroad.
  11. Providing bibliographic support and information to members by establishing a library and connecting it with modern technological resources and other bibliographic sources.
